Coldy Cold.

Mmmkay, it is totally freezing outside and I was not at all prepared. The doctors keep telling me the best thing to do to get this baby out is to walk, but when it’s this cold, that’s not much of an option. Yesterday, post 40-week (!) checkup, I alternated between Target and the mall, walking laps at a clip in hopes of getting things moving. So far, no dice. I even whispered to my little gal as we flipped through the racks that she’ll be getting much cuter stuff once she’s out and I can see her skin tone to decide upon the best color schemes.

Every time we go on a date these days, we think it’s going to be our final one pre-baby. Last night, we hobbled off in the cold for super-spicy Malaysian food. Yum! Didn’t induce labor, though…

But at a balmy 98.6 on the inside and with exterior temps capping out in the teens today, it’s clear why my little has decided to stay put for the time being. Until she makes her valiant entrance, I’m busying myself with lots of at-home yoga, endless gulps of water, daytime television, and online window shopping. Headed to a wedding this month? Shop these looks. And do NOT be afraid of black tights. They are always your friend.

As with all of their fit-n-flares, you know it’s going to make you look like your cutest, skinniest little self. Intricate design details, especially in the sleeves, make it super-fancy despite the length. I would argue you could even wear this to a blacktie affair as long as your shoes were MAJ. $250, FreePeople.

I hate to give the wrongful impression that black is the only acceptable hue to rock to a winter wedding, but it just so happens that some of the chicest affordable options are black. Is it me, or does this dress look like it costs a good 300 bucks? Laugh all the way to the bank while your buddies who skipped rent to buy a 3.1 Phillip Lim number drool over this $40 sheath from H&M. I could not be more obsessed with the sheer, rhinestone-encrusted sleeves. Available in sizes 2-14.

So often, we associate floral prints with spring and summer, but the truth is, they can come in very handy in these frigid times, as well. A wintry mix adds whimsical charm to your ensemble, and as long as you select a dress that’s fitted and grownup as opposed to flirty and girly, you’re in the chips big-time for any winter wedding. ASOS‘s Wiggle Dress is a perfect option. $123.
