Your mouth says so much about you– it beams when you are happy, it quivers when you’re emotional. It kisses your man! On your wedding day, selecting the right lipstick is important. The color of your lips is not only central to the way your groom and all the guests will see you, but it will live on in your photos forever.
We’ll delve deeper into lip color ideas in the months to come, but I thought we’d start this Friday off right with some PINK. If you know me, you know how much I love the color pink. You might be surprised that I actually did not go with a pink hue on the lips for my own wedding. But it was definitely a runner-up.
From petal to rose to fuchsia, there are countless options on the pink spectrum. Depending on your skintone, dress, venue and groom’s preferences, there many ways you can style a pink lip. It can be anywhere from sweet to saucy. And pink is a versatile color that helps you complete your look. So, let’s take a look!
This icy pink is princess-perfect with an edge, in the form of its matte texture. For the bold bride-to-be, I love this look.
Here’s me with the hub en route to our rehearsal dinner. I wore my favorite Revlon Creme lipstick in Primrose with a bright pink Chanel gloss over it for maximum impact.
Fresh and ladylike, a soft creamy pink like hers is gorgeous on a traditional bride.
It’s YOUR day. Why not steal the show with a hot pink pout? This definitely makes her pretty pout pop.

The most important advice I can give you when it comes to your bridal lipstick look is to hold onto it. After you’ve decided on your color, let your makeup artist know you’d like her to bring an extra with her that you can purchase. Not only will you want to touch-up your lips throughout the night after kissing, eating, and drinking, but it’s no doubt a color that looks stunning on you — why not have a tube on hand for future?
